Marcela Oteíza is Associate Professor of Dance, Theater, College of the Environment and College of Design and Engineering Studies at Wesleyan University, and is affiliated with the Latin American Program. She holds a B.F.A. from the University of Chile, and M.F.A from California Institute of the Arts.
She is artist and scholar whose work in scenography explores the transdisciplinary nature of design for performance, intersecting spatial and time-based phenomena across various artistic practices. She is currently immersed in her book project, ‘Rebel Objects of Street Theatre: Scenography, Activism, and the City’, which is under contract at Bloomsbury Academic.
